PINE PANTHERS NETBALL CLUB
We are a family and community orientated club motivated by our own personal passion for netball. We are committed to promoting netball as a healthy, fun, team sport in a competitive and enjoyable environment.
Our committee is made up of a small group of dedicated parents who all either have daughters who play netball, or are coaches or umpires at Pine Panthers. Some of our committee members also hold positions in sub committees at the PRNA. The committee work tirelessly to ensure that the club runs smoothly throughout the year and that all players have an enjoyable season playing netball.
We pride ourselves on having wonderful members and volunteers at the Club, who are actively involved in fundraising events and helping out at netball Carnivals, working bee’s at the PRNA courts etc.
We are looking forward to welcoming back all our members plus all new members to the club for the 2024 season.
Pine Panthers are looking forward to making it an even more successful & fun season for all players, umpires, spectators and volunteers!!!
Why Choose Us As Your Club?
Here at Pine Panthers Netball Club, we pride ourselves on being an affordable, medium sized, family orientated club. We live by our motto
“Our goal is to achieve through genuine sportsmanship and fair play”
by encouraging all girls to have fun, improve their netball skills, create long lasting friendships, developing into wonderful girls and players whilst becoming a valued member of the Pine PRNA courts/facilities on Wednesday afternoon/evenings during the Winter Netball season.
Our committee is made up of a group of dedicated people who all share the same passion for the sport and who all have daughters either playing, umpiring or coaching for Pine Panthers and PRNA.
HISTORY
Pine Panthers Netball Club was founded by Debbie Lucas; Vicki Mouland and Joan Bell in 2001.
These 3 netball crazy mums spent tireless months researching and liaising with Netball Queensland. Finally, they wrote the clubs constitution and Pine Panthers was founded as a club in 2001.
In its first season, the club boasted 3 teams in the PRNA Winter season – an under 12A, Inter 1 and a Div 1 team, with fantastic results at the end of the season with 2 Grand Final wins and placement. By its second season in 2002, the club had grown dramatically to 13 teams. Pine Panthers Netball Club at this stage had set the benchmark at PRNA, it was the first club to actively pursue sponsors, first club to have the new push up carnival tents, first to have a Firebird player (Karen Wright) as the first ever Club Patron. The list goes on.
We are extremely proud of the work these 3 amazing ladies put into the Club in its first years and it was through their dedication and the love and passion for netball that the club is as strong as it is today.
